The Department was established in 2001. The distinction of this Department is in its faculty, which is well qualified. The faculty members work as a team for guiding and motivating the students. The Department has established independent facilities necessary for the computer application education within a building of its own. It has a Departmental library with a stock of adequate number of books, journal, periodicals and magazine of different subject & titles related to Computer Science and Applications.

The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) course provides the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical experience in Computer Science and Applications, to meet the growing manpower requirements of the global software Industry. After the completion of the course, the students become fully competent enough to fit into IT-world as well as be able to carry R&D at prestigious institutions in India and abroad.

Care is taken to see that the students undergo an intensive training on the latest and the stand-alone PCs which provides an ideal platform for bringing out excellent professional software developers, IT-managers, and computer engineers for the IT industry.
